Social media
UNICEF Pacific on Facebook& Twitter is becoming a force for change within the social media community. By collaborating and empowering young people as key partners in the development of content, UNICEF Pacific is at the centre of a youth driven information revolution in the Pacific. You can make a difference for children in the Pacific today by joining our movement online! Have you been following our facebook? Here’s a quick highlight of what’s been happening: In January, we raised awareness on the fact that after a disaster, it is important to ensure that children return to school once schools have reopened and it is safe to do so, and highlighted some of the work that UNICEF had done to get children back to school after TC Evan. In February, we asked everyone to help stop violence and abuse against women and girls by honoring the women around us and by sharing the “L.O.V.E.” In March, we celebrated our children with our theme, "Our Children, Love and Protect them." We launched the Child Protection Baseline Report in Palau, FSM and RMI, we also focused on the effects of climate change and natural hazards on the safety and health of children, and we gave voice to the plight of the girl child on International Women's Day.
