UNICEF Pacific is a champion for ensuring gender equality end equity in the organisations operations and programming.

A Gender Task Force comprising members from all programmes has been established and is guiding the focus on promoting gender equality and equity. This is done with reference to an audit of UNICEF Pacific's work in gender.

UNICEF Pacific collaborates closely with other UN agencies in the Pacific to communicate and advocate jointly for the elimination of violence against women and children in the region.

UNICEF Pacific is also a member of the Pacific Young Women's Leadership Alliance. The Alliance is a network of global and regional civil society and UN agencies in the Pacific committed to sharing resources, good practice and information and working collaboratively on projects to develop the leadership of young Pacific Island women.
