1. How can I request funding from UNICEF Pacific for a project?
UNICEF has a standard proposal form which must be completed for all projects requesting funding. There are also guidelines accompanying the proposal form which will provide useful information about UNICEF’s funding rules. You may request this and additional information from the UNICEF Programme Coordinator, at suva@unicef.org.

2. What type of activities/projects does UNICEF Pacific provide funding for?
UNICEF Pacific has six main programme areas in which it supports projects/activities: Early Childhood Development, Adolescent Development, Child Protection, Advocacy and Communication, HIV and AIDS, Health and Nutrition.

3. How do I get posters, videos, brochures etc. from UNICEF Pacific?
UNICEF produces and sources a number of booklets, posters, brochures, videos, brochures each year. These usually provide information on areas covered by UNICEF programmes such as Early Childhood Development, Child Rights, HIV/AIDS, Child Protection, Health and Nutrition. Members of the public can obtain copies, if these are available, by contacting the Librarian, at suva@unicef.org.

4. Are there internship opportunities available at UNICEF Pacific?
Yes, on a case-by-case basis. You may wish to contact the Operations Officer, at suva@unicef.org.

5. What are the requirements for consultancy within UNICEF Pacific?
UNICEF hires individuals as short term consultants to accomplish, within a specified period of time, a defined task for which the necessary expertise is not readily available within the office.  UNICEF Pacific utilizes a local database  of prospective candidates, with the relevant skills and experience, interested in short-term employment opportunities. The requirements for each consultancy will depend on the task identified. Interested candidates should send their CV and/or P-11 form to the Operations Officer at suva@unicef.org.

6. Does UNICEF provide scholarships?
While UNICEF may provide support for the development and organisation of training programmes in specific programme-related areas, the organisation does not provide scholarships to finance the education of individuals.
