During the second quarter of 2013, no Palestinian children were killed and 512 were injured (503 boys and nine girls). No Israeli children were killed or injured during the same period. This increases the monthly average of children injured in 2013 to 146, more than double the monthly average of 2012 (56). Five hundred seven (507) of the Palestinian children injured in the first quarter of 2013 were injured in the West Bank, marking a significant increase in violations compared to the first quarter, and five in Gaza, a decrease from 22 casualties in the first quarter.
