Carol Bellamy to participate in web chat

"Carol Bellamy has been, and continues to be, one of the key players in improving living and working conditions for women and children worldwide," says Myrna Blyth, Editor-in-Chief and Publishing Director of Ladies' Home Journal. During Ms. Bellamy's distinguished career, she served four years in the New York State Senate (1973-77), was the first woman president of the New York City Council (1978-85), was the managing director in the Public Finance Department at Bear Stearns & Company, and served as the director of the Peace Corps from 1993-1995, among various other appointments and positions.
