Post Title: Programme Assistant (Emergency)
Post Level: General Service (GS-6)
Post Duration: Fixed Term Post Location: Kathmandu

Purpose of the post:

Under general supervision of the Emergency Specialist, performs a variety of information gathering, monitoring, technical and administrative services of moderate scope and difficulty, in support of programme activities.

Your profile for the post:

 Completion of secondary education with additional training in Emergency related technical field (university level) is desirable.

 Six years of progressively responsible in administrative, some of which should be in emergency programme management and operations including the inventory and distribution of programme-related supplies.

 Required Competencies: Analyzing, Planning & organizing, Following instructions and procedures, Applying technical expertise, Relating and Attention to detail

 The candidate must be computer literate with professional ability to work with database and must have excellent written and spoken English/Nepali skills, and capacity to translate simple correspondence.

 Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
