Post Title: Emergency Specialist Post Level: National Officer (NO-C)
Post Duration: Fixed Term Post Location: Kathmandu
Purpose of the post:
Under the direction of the Deputy Representative, responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency programme activities, to ensure the survival, well-being of children and mothers and affected community in the country.
Your profile for the post:
Advanced university degree in Social Sciences Health, Nutrition, or other related field.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in programme formulation, planning, management, and evaluation, some of which should be in humanitarian and disaster risk reduction programme management and operations.
Communications, Working with People, Drive for Results, Formulating Strategies and Concepts, Analyzing, Planning and Organizing, Applying Technical Expertise, Persuading and Influencing, Relating and Networking, Learning and Researching, Leading & Supervising, Following instructions & procedures
The candidate must have excellent written and spoken English/Nepali skills
Knowledge of Rights-based and Results-based approach and programming.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
