Tony Lake visited UNICEF Nepal Country Office and had interactions with the Staff
12 January 2012, Kathmandu, The UNICEF Executive Director Tony Lake was received by the Nepal country office staff today afternoon, most of whom were dressed in their different ethnic traditional attire. This was intended to allow Mr Lake a glimpse into the rich ethnic diversity that exists in Nepal.
There was a short introductory documentary about UNICEF's work in Nepal and a drama performance was shown by children from Achham, one of the most remote districts of the country. Mr Lake also answered some of the questions put forward by children and young people through the UNICEF supported radio programme Saathi Sanga Manka Kura (SSMK) before departing to prepare for his field visit tomorrow.
