    Purpose of the vacancy: Assists in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating an advocacy and communication strategy to get children’s and women’s issues into the public domain, strengthen political will in support of UNICEF's mission and objectives in the country, and enhance the organization’s credibility and brand. In addition to Mozambique context: The post incumbent will assist the Communication Specialist (P4) in handling the development, follow up and management of on-going relationships with both traditional and online media. The incumbent will provide support to online engagement activities, which include content generation and management of UNICEF’s online presence (i.e., web site, social media and SMS based media). The incumbent will also manage audio-visual resources used in advocacy, public awareness and resource mobilization efforts. S/he plans media events and releases and responds to or channels inquiries from the media.
