Publications

UNICEF publications play a critical role in fulfilling the organization's mandate to advocate for the rights of every child, everywhere. They include analyses and information of interest to governments, civil society, the media and others concerned with the well-being of children.

Every year, UNICEF Mozambique publishes, or co-publishes in collaboration with the Government of Mozambique and other partners, a number of publications, reports and studies on the situation of children and women. These publications are normally available in Portuguese and English.

Global publications

To fulfill UNICEF's global mandate, most UNICEF publications are available in English, French and Spanish. UNICEF Mozambique often translates key publications into national and other important languages.

UNICEF publishes three flagships publications:

  • The State of the World's Children, the most comprehensive and authoritative report on the world's youngest citizens, combining analyses, human interest stories, country profiles, maps and statistical data for 195 countries and territories.

  • Progress for Children, a report-card-like series, scheduled to be published two to three times each year, on the progress being made towards achievement of the MDGs in 2015.

  • UNICEF's Annual Report, issued mid-year, spotlights the significant results achieved by UNICEF and its partners on behalf of children around the world.

As a global organization, UNICEF publishes or co-publishes a number of other major publications. For a complete list of all UNICEF global publications visit the Publication catalogue on UNICEF global web site.
