UNICEF sponsored book on child protection awarded the CADES 2011 Best Book of the Year prize
MAPUTO, Mozambique, 29 November 2011 – At a ceremony presided over by Prime Minister Aires Ali on November 25, the Legal and Judicial Training Center (the publisher) and Carlos Pedro Mondlane (the author) were awarded the CADES 2011 Best Book of the Year prize for the book 'Lei de Promoção e Protecção dos Direitos da Criança - Anotada e Comentada'. The Legal and Judicial Training Center is a state institution that trains the country's judges, prosecutors and judicial officers and officials. CADES (the Community for Academic Development) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting progress in education, health, environment and other important social areas through the promotion of responsible citizenship. The research for the book and its printing were financed by UNICEF. The author is scheduled to present and lecture on the content of the book to students at the Legal and Judicial Training Center before the end of this year, and the official launch and nationwide dissemination of the book will take place in early 2012.
