IntroductionHaving lived in Morocco for the past four years of my life, it is quite sad that it took me until recently, at the end of my fourth year, to visit the real Morocco. During my high school time in Morocco I’ve been to all the spots typically visited by tourists, but never places outside the golden ghettos. That’s why I was so pleased that my mom, the representative of UNICEF in Morocco, invited me, my dad, and my best friend to join her on a UNICEF field trip through the south. We spent a week hopping from town to village, from village to town, visiting NGOs and meeting with the sweet, local Moroccan people, all with the same goal, to shape Morocco into a better place for its people and its future.
