Pregnancy and Early Childhood Development communication packageIn 2010 UNICEF, the Montenegrin Ministry of Health and many partners from the health system created the first ever early childhood communication package for Montenegrin parents and future parents. Four video documentaries are covering key issues relating to pregnancy and a healthy lifestyle, delivery, breastfeeding and pre-natal care. The documentaries are complemented by easy to understand leaflets on 14 key pregnancy and parenting topics. The communication package was introduced to health workers from across Montenegro in seminars in the north, centre and coastal areas of the country and was a direct follow up to the 2009 awareness raising campaign – “The Early Years – An Opportunity of a Lifetime”.
