The Local Plan of Action for Children was developed with the support of UNICEF Montenegro and represented a strategic document which defined local policies aimed at the creation of a child-friendly environment and activities to be undertaken with the aim of improving the status and the rights of children in the Municipality of Bijelo Polje by 2010.

Opening of the Day Care Centre ‘Tisa’ for children with disabilities and the Centre for Child and Family Support are just some of the most important achievement of the LPA in Bijelo Polje.

The Municipality of Bijelo Polje will on this occasion reiterate its commitment to making Bijelo Polje a better place for all children and announce its intention to develop a new Local Plan of Action for Children for the period 2010-2015.
