The International Children's Day of Broadcasting (ICDB) has been moved to 1 March 2009The International Children's Day of Broadcasting (ICDB) has been moved to 1 March 2009 Broadcasters around the world, both television and radio, are encouraged to participate in this special day by creating special programs for kids and inviting youth into the studio to participate in the production and presentation of broadcasts. UNICEF also appeals to broadcasters to invest in local youth by incorporating them in the production process year-round, not just on the ICDB. UNICEF will award the International Children's Day of Broadcasting Award to honor television and radio broadcasters who capture the spirit of the ICDB. The submission process for entries will open directly following the ICDB in spring 2009, when broadcasters will be able to submit their programs from the 2009 International Children's Day of Broadcasting. UNICEF will offer regional awards to the broadcasters which best promote the principles, purpose and main themes of ICDB. Each regional winner will be invited to New York in November 2009 and one television and one radio nominee will receive the prestigious International Children's Day of Broadcasting Awards.
