United Nations Children’s Fund in Moldova is seeking for The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS4) Consultant in Transnistria

Purpose: The MICS4 Consultant in Transnistria will work under the overall supervision of the MICS4 Coordinator in Transnistria, representing health authorities, and of the UNICEF Moldova Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. The Consultant will provide regular support and technical assistance on a daily basis for the preparation and conducting of MICS4 in Transnistria to both UNICEF Moldova Office and the health care, social protection and statistics agencies and to other stakeholders, which implies a permanent presence of “the consultant” in Transnistria.

Qualifications or specialized knowledge/experience required:

Education
University degree in sociology, demography, statistics, epidemiology or other related technical fields.

Skills and Experience
- At least three years' experience in the coordination and/or management of quantitative household surveys (experience in the coordination of activities prior to MICS or Demographic and Health survey (DHS) is desirable);
- Good computer skills and experience and expertise in the field of statistical analysis (knowledge of data processing and data analysis software, in particular SPSS);
- Training experience and skills in organizing and facilitating trainings and presentations;
- Experience in writing reports, in particular on survey results;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Russian and English (Romanian is desirable);
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience of working in Transnistria.

Other Competencies
- Confirmed ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective relations within and outside the organization.
- Confirmed training, monitoring and coordination skills.
