Keywords: UNICEF, children, girls’ education, Mothers Clubs
Main sequences: In Gayak, a village in Cameroon, girls prepared for their traditional roles as wives and mothers, but very little resources are left for their education. Due to scarce resources, families with many children often give boys the priority to go to school. This is changing with new initiatives led by Mothers Clubs to keep girls in school and give them the chance to get an education.
