World not doing nearly enough to protect children affected by AIDS
LONDON, 9 February 2006 - The global response to children affected by HIV and AIDS does not come close to matching the enormity of their rapidly expanding plight. By 2010 an estimated 18 million children in sub-Saharan Africa alone will be orphaned by the disease.
