Study on the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of children, families and communities towards children’s and women’s rights
This study, completed in 2007 through a nationwide representative household survey and focus groups on the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of children, families and communities towards children’s and women’s rights, is the first survey of its kind in the West and Central African Region.
It provides both quantitative and qualitative evidence reflecting a gap of effective implementation of the CRC and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) in Mali. This study reveals to the Government, local authorities, civil society, families, UNICEF and donors the challenges to advancement of the fundamental rights of all children and women in Mali.
