As each day passes, life for children in Gaza and the West Bank continues to deteriorate. Shortages of electricity, fuel, safe water and sanitation are having a serious impact on their lives. The recent conflict in Gaza is adding to their suffering. Women too are being affected.

Humanitarian Fund for Children of Gaza

The Humanitarian Fund for Children of Gaza was launched on 19 February 2009 by the Prime Minister of Malaysia to collect contributions in support of UNICEF’s efforts to rehabilitate and restore education for children in Gaza. Donations are welcomed from corporates, organisations and individuals. All donations will receive a tax-exempt receipt. (Read story)

The Fund is set up by the joint efforts of the Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI), the Police Families Association (PERKEP), the Armed Forces Family Welfare Association (BAKAT) and the Association of Wives and Women Civil Servants (PUSPANITA). Gaza Children’s Crisis Appeal 2009

Please issue a crossed cheque payable to “United Nations Children’s Fund”. At the back of the cheque, please write “Gaza Crisis” as well as your name, full address and contact number. Please send your donation to the UNICEF Malaysia office.
