Child abuse
Do you know that in 2008, an average of 7 children in Malaysia were reported to be abused every day? The media can play an important role to reduce this number to zero. The media, whether traditional or social, can protect children by placing child abuse high on the community agenda through regular articles, commentaries and programs that raise awareness; influence behaviour; generate public opinion; and elicit reports of abuse. Putting an end to child abuse is a shared responsibility. United, we can make a difference.
