Awards
The ICDB Award honours programming that allows youth the opportunity to speak up and be heard. Programs should be for young people and created with some aspect of youth participation. All television stations that celebrate this special day can compete for this Award. Broadcast must have taken place on or around ICDB, which is observed annually on the first Sunday of March. Presented by OneWorld Radio and UNICEF, the Award recognises radio programming that gives a central role to children – as producers, editors, reporters and presenters – and allows them to give their own perspective on the world around them. It is open to all radio stations that participate in the International Children’s Day of Broadcasting. More information.
The Award by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) and UNICEF recognises best TV programming on child rights produced in the Asia-Pacific region. It seeks to encourage broadcasters to play an active role in promoting and protecting child rights by providing them with regular, quality TV programs. More information.
