Why:
As in most parts of the world, young people in Malaysia account for an increasing number of HIV infections every year, with at least one-third of people living with HIV in the country today falling between the ages 13 to 29 years old. Responding to the needs of our young demand the protection of their basic rights and the assurance of the fulfillment of these rights as enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. While young people have been referred to as the 'hope' to halt and reverse the course of the epidemic, not enough has been done to engage them as leaders in national responses to HIV. We must stand together with young people today to mount programs that will protect them from infection and ensure an AIDS-free generation for our future.
Please join us.
