Launch of “To My Friend in Gaza”
A Letter Writing Campaign for Children

Why:
The humanitarian crisis due to the recent violence in Gaza is hitting children and women most. Over 800,000 children have been exposed to extraordinary levels of violence and insecurity, some 1,600 have been injured and more than 300 children have died.

“To My Friend in Gaza”, conceptualised and organised by Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, seeks to assure children in Gaza that they have peers around the world who care for them. Children in Malaysia will be invited to send messages of love and support to a child in Gaza, to tell them that they are not alone, that they are thought of and that prayers for their safety are being offered every day.
