Child safety onlineProtecting children in cyberspace
While the Internet has opened up our world to endless possibilities by revolutionising the way we communicate, learn and live, we have to also be aware of the dangers that lurk within. As parents and carers, it is our duty to ensure that children can safely access the Internet and its valuable resources without fear of falling prey to unscrupulous predators in cyberspace. The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission Child Safety Online aims to help parents make cyberspace safe for their children. UNICEF supports this initiative organised in conjunction with World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2009.
