Volunteers
As UNICEF's goals for children in Malaysia are achieved through our formal partnership with the Government and civil society, volunteer opportunities are limited only to the following:
- Professional communication services (writing, design, photography, video, web, marketing and public relations);
- Manning the UNICEF booth at conferences, meetings, carnivals and expos;
- General administration (preparing advocacy packs).
If you are keen to join our family in Malaysia as a volunteer for the activities listed above, please download the Volunteer Form and return by email with a resume (only for professional communication volunteers) to Fara Zahri at fzahri@unicef.org.
NOTE:
- UNICEF does not recruit volunteers for work at children's orphanages and shelters.
- UNICEF does not recruit volunteers for deployment to the field.

United Nations Volunteers
If you wish to volunteer for a field program in a developing country, you need to apply directly to the United Nations Volunteer (UNV) program. This is a United Nations common program which recruits volunteers for assignments throughout the United Nations system, including UNICEF.
