Goal and Objectives
To support the development of UNICEF's corporate engagement and corporate social responsibility (CSR) engagement in Malaysia which will include a special focus on implementation of children's rights. Major stakeholders and potential partners will include key government and private sector agencies, Multi-National Companies (MNCs), Public Listed Companies (PLCs), Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) as well as civil society organizations
Scope of work
The Consultant's scope of work includes building new and existing relationships between UNICEF and the corporate businesses sector and its stakeholders all of which will contribute towards the programmatic results of UNICEF Country Programme Action Plan 2011-2015.
More specifically the consultant will:
1 Set up an on-going database with information that includes MCO's engagement and relationship with companies. This database can be used by MCO to improve its future standard operating procedures (SOP) in deciding on how best to engage with companies.
2 Support UNICEF to liaise between UNICEF and companies who are seeking to collaborate with UNICEF or exploring further understanding of how they can support the implementation of the CRC.
3 Explore and identify concrete initiatives with United Nations Global Compac Malaysia Chapter to strengthen advocacy on children rights and business practices.
4 Produce and co-develop training materials for both external and internal trainings based on the CRBP, CSR review document, UNICEF CSR Workbook, UNICEF CSR tools and materials, child rights materials and all published BBPCs. The internal trainings will assist MCO's programme capacity to understand better how child friendly CSR carried out by businesses can help achieve programmatic results for children. External trainings that involve interaction with companies and businesses to adopt a children's rights framework in their business making. Its goals will be to promote child-friendly CSR and provide corporates with thorough awareness and understanding as well as the know-how to implement child-friendly CSR.
5 Develop together with input from MCO key staff a MCO CSR strategy and future action plan, based on regional and global trends in CSR.

4 4. CSR Strategy for UNICEF Malaysia
The Consultant will be under the supervision of the Social Policy Specialist and will work closely with the Programme, Communications and Fundraising teams.
Qualification and Experience
§ Possess a Master's Degree in Economic, Business, Law, Public Administration or an industry with specialization in corporate relations and partnerships.
§ Good knowledge and at least 2-5 years of working experience with corporate social responsibility in the corporate sector or resource mobilization with an international organization.
§ Ability to build partnerships and networks in the corporate sector bodies.
§ Good skills in networking and partnerships
§ Good writing and analytical skills
§ Knowledge on UNICEF programming and strategic engagement is an asset.
§ Team player and ability to work in a multi-cultural and international environment.
