Health and Nutrition

In Health & Nutrition, we support the Government of Malawi to reduce maternal, neonatal, infant and under-five morbidity, mortality and malnutrition.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion

UNICEF Malawi supports the Government of Malawi to provide safe water and improved sanitation; and in promoting hygiene practices in rural and peri-urban communities and schools.

Basic Education and Youth Development

The programme ensures that children, and in particular girls have greater access to quality education and that they complete school equipped with competencies and life skills.

Orphans and other Vulnerable children and child protection

Malawi has almost 1 Million orphans and we strengthen national capacities to provide them with essential services and to protect all children against abuse.

Social policy, Planning Advocacy and Communication
This comprehensive programme works at placing children at the heart of national programmes through Advocacy, Communication, Planning, Social Protection & support to policy reform.
