Malnutrition is a permanent challenge for Madagascar: 50 per cent of children under five years old suffer from stunted growth, and the country rates 6th among countries in the world with the worst malnutrition rates. Despite the challenges however, UNICEF's integrated approach to reducing malnutrition is reaching some of Madagascar most vulnerable children. Watch the latest video on our work.

UNICEF's equity-based approach to achieving the Millennium Development Goals aims to reach the poorest and most vulnerable children and families with high-impact, cost-effective interventions for sustainable progress. Immunisations are one such intervention, and UNICEF is working with GAVI in Madagascar to help increase access to vaccinations among the country's most vulnerable children.
