UNICEF Madagascar's preparedness and response programme is based on both developing capacity in advance of emergencies in order to mitigate the impacts; and on acting swiftly when disaster strikes to reach those children most in need.

Working within the global framework of the Core Commitments for Children, UNICEF Madagascar helps to provide life-saving assisstance to children affected by disasters, and to protect their rights in any circumstances - no matter how difficult.
