Junior Reporters' Clubs

Since 2007, UNICEF Madagascar has supported Junior Reporters’ Clubs (JRCs) across the country.

These are small groups of young people who have been trained in basic radio productions and journalism. They work under the supervision of communications professionals from local radio stations in order to broadcast weekly programmes on topics of interest to young people.

The clubs also support other youth activities in their areas, including school sporting events, youth studies and life skills workshops. At community level, JRCs establish partnerships with authorities, NGOs and private sector.
