News Digest, August – September 2009. An assessment of the state programmes and efforts against child poverty has been conductedKyrgyzstan alongside with other countries of Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Turkey assessed its current programmes and efforts focusing on decreasing child poverty in the context of the global recession. The assessment will be used in the course of preparation for the Regional Ministerial Conference on Social Impact of the Economic Crisis that will be held in December this year in Almaty.
