News Digest, August – September 2009. Child Protection System Reform National Plan of Action has been draftedWith UNICEF support, a working group, which was established by the Vice-Premier-Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, drafted a Child Protection System Reform National Plan of Action for 2009-2011. In the course of its preparation an analysis of Family and Child Support Departments and Children Affairs Committees in Issykkul Province was used (http://www.unicef.org/kyrgyzstan/ru/media_13074.html). The Plan of Action foresees an introduction of social support services for families at the level of local self-government. The document has been consented by ministries and agencies and will be soon presented to the Government for approval.
