News Digest, June-July 2009. Improving the Functioning of the Child Welfare System in KyrgyzstanOn 16-19 June 2009, representative of 17 social and human rights non-governmental organizations attended a training to improve their knowledge and skills on advocacy and participation of civil society regarding the national policy procedures on child rights. Dr. M. Lambru, UNICEF international expert, facilitated the training. A joint strategy on advocacy campaigns for the improvement of child protection system operations in Kyrgyzstan will be available in September 2009.
