Hygiene promotion - The Moheto way!
In early 2015, Migori County, Western Kenya experienced a wave of cholera outbreaks affecting 1,521 people. During the outbreak in September, one village, Moheto, came up with a hand-washing device called ighisabhero kia amabhoko to promote good hygiene.

Safe deliveries respecting local cultures
With UKAID support, the Ministry of Health of Kenya and UNICEF are reducing maternal and neonatal mortality with a focus on increasing access and use of quality services. In Turkana County, only 22.8% of deliveries are attended by a skilled health worker.
