Care Centres for Children with Disabilities in Jordan (a study) To identify the current status of specialised services available to disabled children in Jordan, UNICEF commissioned a nationwide study of centres for the care of the disabled in the Kingdom. Preliminary research and a review of the records of the Ministry of Social Development (MOSD) indicated the existance of 130 centres for the care of the disabled nationwide. But as further research excluded those institutions that exclusively served the adult disabled community, and those that were too small, serving in some instances fewer than five children, the overall number of centres that qualified was 105.
