Evaluation of the Better Parenting Project The Better Parenting Project was initiated by UNICEF with local partners in six countries within the Middle East Region in 1996. The project came to life as a result of a workshop on better parenting attended by UNICEF and members from the six partner countries. The project, as developed in Jordan, sought to address the needs of parents of very young children for basic informatoin and support in their tasks of child rearing, specifically in the areas of health, nutrition and social-emotional development
