The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Finance which has the mission of leading the process of policy formulation of economic and social issues and external cooperation management to achieve sustainable development for the people of Jamaica.

Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) is a branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. The objectives of CISOCA are: to create an atmosphere which will encourage victims to report incidents of sexual offences and child abuse; to ensure efficient and effective investigation into allegations of abuse; to enhance the rehabilitation of victims through counselling and therapy and to conduct public education programmes on Sexual Offences and Child Abuse.
The Ministry of National Security exercises overall responsibility for the security and defence of Jamaica. The security of Jamaica is provided by the national forces (the police force and the army) and punishment and rehabilitation of offenders is carried out by the Correctional Services.
