Partners

UNICEF works with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Education at the Kurdistan Regional Government and Departments of Education in Iraq's 18 governorates. UNICEF has joint programmes with the following departments at the Ministry of Education:

General Directorate for Cultural Affars (Main coordinating office for UNICEF activities)
General Directorate for General Education (Comprehensive education projects)
General Directorate for Educational Planning
General Directorate for Educational Supervision (Child Friendly Schools projects)
General Directoreate for Teacher Training and Educational Development (Child Friendly School Projects)

UNICEF works closely with UNESCO, with whom it co-chairs the national Education Working Group. UNICEF also works with the International Resuce Committee and the Danish Refugee Council on its Child Friendly School initiative.
