UNICEF Iran office informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and partner line ministries of its readiness and commitment to provide any necessary support but no request for international help has come from government thus far.

The Secretary-General has also sent his condolences to the Iranian people and informed the Government that the UN is ready to lend its assistance.
