Viet Nam, 9 December 2004 - To coincide with the launch of the 2005 State of the World’s Children, a brand-new website on UNICEF’s activities in Viet Nam is now available in both English and Vietnamese.
Produced by UNICEF staff in Viet Nam, the site provides information and insights in the lives and challenges of Viet Nam’s 30 million children. Local Vietnamese, as well as those living overseas, can now access the site for information and links on UNICEF’s activities and publications and how UNICEF is working for the children and young people of Viet Nam – in their own language!
The site focuses on a country that is undergoing rapid change and recovery. It highlights the many child survival issues that still affect children in Viet Nam, such as access to clean water and the importance of immunization as well as the new challenges that are emerging, such as HIV/AIDS, injury prevention and child protection issues.
Also available on the site are overviews of what is life like for Viet Nam children; real life stories; updates on the latest publications and press releases and more.
We invite you to visit the new UNICEF Viet Nam website – in both English and Vietnamese.
