12 July 2004 – A brand new website created by UNICEF’s office in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is now available.
Produced entirely by the UNICEF staff in DPRK, the website will provide insights into the daily lives and ongoing struggles of DPRK’s children. It will also spotlight UNICEF’s work for children in the country.
The site focuses mainly on emergency situations currently affecting the country. Detailed accounts of UNICEF’s aims and goals in DPRK are available. The site is illustrated with photos from areas all around the country.
Also available on the site are overviews of what life is like for DPRK children; real life stories; updates on the latest publications; information on UNICEF’s DPRK partners; and more.
