UNICEF and Radio Afghanistan spread unity through the airwaves

UNICEF and Radio Afghanistan in Kabul have partnered to bring messages on children’s rights, education and women’s rights across the country via the airwaves. UNICEF has commissioned popular Afghan singer-songerwriter Farad Darya to write three songs about national unity, education and women’s rights to inform and entertain listeners.

On Saturday, 27 March 2004, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Karin Sham Poo was on hand with Mr. Darya to launch the first of the three, a song about national unity.  See video to get the full story!
