Working closely with government and partners, UNICEF has:

Child Protection

Helped to design and implement a medium to long term programme of counseling support for the approximately 2,000 children and families affected by the tsunami.

Water and Sanitation

Provided thousands of essential supplies including bars of anti-bacterial soaps and drinking water to children and families living in relief centers.
