UNICEF procures some 1,700 commodities that are listed in its Supply Catalogue. However, supplies that are not in the catalogue can also be ordered. These should be included in the Request Form with detailed specifications and quantities. We will investigate whether UNICEF can procure them and provide a cost estimate.

Here are the steps to purchase supplies through UNICEF PS:

  • Please submit the Request by email, fax or mail to the UNICEF Country Office in Jakarta.
  • After we determine your eligibility, a Procurement Services representative will contact you with a Cost Estimate and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) governing UNICEF procurement services. You can also download the MOU and submit to us with your request for a Cost Estimate. Please note that the cost estimate will include the cost of shipment, insurance and UNICEF handling fee and buffer charges.
  • If you accept the cost estimate and MOU, we will finalize them and send you a letter of offer confirming the terms and conditions and requesting you to transfer the funds to UNICEF's account.
  • Upon receipt of the signed MOU and transfer of funds, UNICEF will immediately start procuring the ordered supplies. You will be informed of the progress and of the delivery schedule.
  • Once UNICEF has paid all the invoices, you will receive a final statement of accounts and any remaining balance from the buffer.

Useful tips for filling-in the Request Form:
- To ensure that your request is expedited, please provide the UNICEF Material Number available from the On-Line Supply Catalogue for the supplies of interest.

- You can copy and paste the 6 digit UNICEF Material Number as provided in the Item Description page in the Supply Catalogue.

- Please do not use Material Numbers listed in printed versions of UNICEF Supply Catalogue as numbers do change.
