Fundraising Officer - Donor Care

Location: Delhi

Purpose of the Post:

Under the general supervision of the Resource Mobilization (RM) Manager and direct supervision of Fundraising Specialist, develop and implement fundraising strategies -focusing mainly on the individual one time and pledge donor retention - to raise funds locally in order to support implementation of country approved program in general, and determined programme activities in particular. Provide back up to the supervisor in overall Direct Marketing Fund Raising activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for Donor Care Programme-retention, up-gradation and conversion of existing donor base and achievement of set targets. Build and nurture the middle donors to achieve higher ROI.
2. Keep track of fundraising activities and prepare reports as needed by the supervisor, RM Manager.
3. Contribute to overall implementation of Direct Marketing plans and achieve set targets through direct mail, telephone appeals, pledges, co-branded mailings and TV. 
4. Contribute to formulation of DM strategy and overall ICO RM strategy and plans. 
5. Support market researches to identify prospective partners and/or alternative means of local fundraising. These should be country-appropriate.
6. Coordinate with Direct Mail Appeal Group in implementation and support towards the production of fund raising communication.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies required:

• University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Advertising.  Training in sales required. 

• At least two years of practical professional work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in Individual Fund Raising or Customer Relationship management with individual clients in large numbers.

• Fluency in English and good knowledge of Hindi.
