Education Officer (Sports for Development)
Duty Station : New Delhi

Purpose of the post:
Under the direct supervision of the Education Specialist, contribute to education programme design and implementation, evaluation of programme/project activities, data analysis and progress and donor reporting, with a particular focus on ‘sport for development’ in the six states (Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal) in which the UK-India International Inspiration programme is being piloted.
Minimum Requirements:
University degree in Social Sciences or Education.
Two years of professional experience at the national/state level in education or related social development programmes. Experience in education with national/state governments desirable.
Project planning, management and monitoring experience
Analytical / research skills; ability to organize, synthesize & document information systematically
Skills/qualifications/experience/background in sports and/or sports coaching will be an asset.
Current knowledge of development issues, policies, as well as social programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation.
Fluency in English and Hindi. Ability to draft clearly and concisely in English.
Communication skills to advocate, negotiate and promote UNICEF’s concerns
Knowledge and use of standard office automation applications related to word processing, graphics, presentations etc., as well as Management Information Systems and databases.
Ability to work harmoniously in a multi-cultural environment.
