Third International Learning Exchange in Water and Sanitation in INDIA – 14 – 24 October 2008
Applications are invited for the Third International Learning Exchange for Water and Sanitation in India to be held from 14th to 24th October 2008.
The International Learning Exchange Programme has been organized in India since 2006 and has seen participation of 116 international delegates from 24 countries.
India is implementing one of the largest national water supply and sanitation programmes in the world.
With a commitment to sharing India’s development experience and drive towards achieving the MDGs for water and sanitation, UNICEF India, with the collaboration of the Government of India, is organizing the Third International Learning Exchange Programme.
The Programme will start with an inaugural session on 14th October and conclude with a one-day analytical review and closure in Delhi on 24th October.
The Programme will focus on two sanitation learning modules:
1. Acceleration of rural sanitation; and
Participants can choose between the two modules, each of which will entail 3-4 days of field travel to two states.
During the field visits participants will observe implementation of India’s water supply and sanitation programmes under diverse cultural and geo-political conditions.

The last date for submitting applications is 14 August 2008.
Due to limited number of seats, applications will be selected on a ‘first-come first served’ basis.
