Girl Stars Roadshow Diary

 

11 May 2007 – Village Fakirpuri, Block Nanpara, District Bahraich

  • Arrived in the village at 9:20 a.m.

  • Set up truck and tent

  • Number of audience present: 250

  • Films were screened and discussion initiated.


    • Comments from audience:

    Shweta, student of Class III: “I want to be like Madhuri.”

    Sarika, student of Class VI: “After watching the video I liked the character and story of Madhuri very much. I’ve decided that I want to be a social worker.”

    Amit: “I want to complete my studies and become a bank manager”.


    Village Chafariha, Block Nanpara, District Bahraich

  • Reached the village at 3:00 p.m. and set up.

  • Total strength of audience: 300.


    • Comments:

    Naina, student: “I want to be a high ranked police officer and serve the nation”.

    Prabhudat: “I want to be a doctor and open a small clinic in my village”.
