Set up truck and made the announcements

Approx. 250 – 275 people gathered.

Vineeta Kumari, teacher: “Because parents are uneducated, they feel that educating girls is a waste of time; it is better for them to work at home and later get married.”

Village Damodarpur, Block Kanti, District Muzaffarpur

Arrived in the village at approx. 3:30 p.m.

Met with health department worker Krishan Chand Mishra, ex-mukhiya Rajeshwar Prasad Gupta and anganwadi worker Poona Devi.
